The scenery

Previously, on 7th until 9th June 2013, my class, D1IM2253A was given an assignment by our lecturer, Mr. Abu Sufian who taught us CTU553, Ethnic Relations.
Once we knew that this was class assignment, each of us was been assigned different duties to handle from submitting the paper work, raising funds, made preparation for our program and fulfill it.
To be truth, it was really big task to handle. Each of us was first time handling this type of program.
But Alhamdulillah, all the odds and circumferences we successfully faced it.

I would like to story the main point of program that we’re handling.
We named it as “Program Kemasyrakatan & Sosiobudaya Masyarakat Orang Asli” at Kampung Kuala Boh, Cameron Highlands, Pahang.  As far as we concerned , this program more towards as doing a charity and get to know with the community.

7th June 2013 (Day 1)

From Machang, Kelantan, we set our foot and start our journey to Cameron Highlands by UiTM bus.  Drizzling rains greet us along the journey once we arrived at the main road of Kuala Boh village.  There, a jeep from JAKOA (Jabatan Kemasyarakatan Orang Asli) was waiting for us.  We felt really thankful and grateful.  It took 15 minutes to arrive at the village.  Even the journey was little bit grumpy due of the poor condition of the road, we did enjoy it.

Our journey begins

There were several quick trips to pick up us by the JAKOA’s jeep.   Luckily, the driver was friendly chatting along the journey.  Fair enough, he managed drove us safely into the village.  Based on our plan, the boys will be sleep at Musalla/Surau while the girls will be camp out at the library.  After that, we get to refresh ourselves before the open ceremony started after Maghrib.

The open ceremony was very decent where the Tok Batin gave a short speech.  Only half of the villagers came to watch and get to know us where else the children giving the warmest greeting for welcoming us.   From my perspective, those children was really friendly, eager to know something new, friendly, talented and hyper active.   Along that night, we have splendid friendly chatting with the villagers accompanied with hot tea and banana cake. Perfect supper!! The ceremony was ended almost 11pm, mostly all of us really tired and hoping the best for tomorrow activities.

Just looked at those eager-to-know eyes

Story telling perhaps?

8th June 2013 (Day 2)

The sun shine brightly on that morning, the air was smelled fresh, the scenery really greenly to be seen.  I also can see the thin fog lined across the hills. The first activities will be the “Sukaneka” for those happy kids.  Several games were created and all of us will be facilitators guiding them.  Around 8am, the noise of those kids alarming us, each of them can’t wait to play.

Surprisingly, those kids already await us before the game start.

Did you notice there are Lampard, Messi and Silva here?
Football was all-time-favorite-game for boys
