Twist the Fate

Life on the train

Life  is like a train ride, it read.
We get on. We ride. We get off.
We get back on and ride some more.
There are accidents and there are delays.
At a certain stops there are surprises.
Some of these will translate into great moments of joys,
Some will result in profound sorrow.

Once my uni, UiTM Machang, Kelantan announced there will be another break for Gawai celebration, as usual, my classmates already purchased our tickets.  After settle down a few arrangements, my junior, Dina and I set our foot to take night bus to our hometown, Penang.
(Home Sweet Home, Baby!).

I safely arrived at Penang Sentral (our main bus station at Butterworth) around 5.30am on Friday.  There, I saw my parents already waiting for me.  I abandoned my sleepiness, doziness and tiring of 6 hours journey and ran towards them giving my morning kisses and "salam" my parents hands. Grateful to Allah. Syukur.  Mostly on the way journey home, I slept and there no conservation at all. Sorry Abah and Mama. :(

After Subuh prayer, I quickly sneaking inside my blanket and have very good quality sleep without any disturbing alarming. Ahh, feels good slept in my own bedroom. AWESOME.I delayed to unpack my bag because on the next day, my family will heading to Tok's house (Abah's mother)
at Selangor for regular visit. Yep, another great journey!!

We traveled by bus. :) Why?

Coz' traveling by bus really great because most of us already use to it. The exhausted didn't wash away since traveling from Kelantan, mostly I slept.  Yeah, our bus packed with all walks of life due of school holiday already start. Horey for the kids.

We arrived at R&R Sg. Buloh around 1.30pm, waiting for my cousin to pick up us.  I managed to indulged few cones of ice cream from motorcycle vendor. Erk, come on, it was 1.30pm, and the weather was totally hot. So, having an ice cream is the best option no matter what flavor.
Who can't resist indulge an ice cream at noon?

A whole day at Tok's house really warming greeting from them.  Eventually, Mak Long (call for an aunty, Abah's older sister) returned from Umrah two weeks ago. Alhamdulillah. hopefully there will be "Barakah" from her.  That night, she treat us with everyone favorite fast food, Pizza Hut. Yummy. Simply delicious eating together with my cousins and nephews. Family gathering always the best. We ate, chatting and watched dramas at TV until midnight until everyone felt sleepy. I said goodnight and let my sleepiness take away to my dreamland.

The best part of our trip this time was, we heading back to Penang by train. Abah already bought us the tickets and we will depart at 9.13am.  So, the journey will begin starting from Sg. Buloh train station til Butterworth.  Wow, it will be 7 hours journey seating at superior class of Ekspress Sinaran Utara.

Happy faces

My ticket

The nightmare begins

Yep, our journey started well, nothing much to describe.  Most our journey, I slept. But, but, starting from Padang Rengas, our train, erk, I mean our coach ONLY, the air-conditioner did not working. Common, Butterworth still far away.

I knew this situation will happen sometimes.  Unfortunately for us to felt all these. I can't have my slumber napping through out the journey.  The rest of our journey was looking at the scenery, chatting and eating tidbits.  *Sabar..sabar..sabar..(Patience..patience..patience).

I wish this was only my nightmare.
Yeah, Malaysia is tropical climate. At the end, I feel asleep tired of hoping. I am not grumbling but I do learn something during this whole journey:

1) Be patience with all sort of "dugaan" lying upon us.
2) Family bonding (Abah "kipas" me with newspaper during I'm asleep.Love you abah)
3) Food is important (Can distract me..haha)
4) Be tolerate. (Nothing that we can do if the situation is outside our supervision)
5) Sleep (The last option, if you can bare: I feel like lying inside the jacuzzi.hehe)
6) Hope for miracle. (It happens sometime)

But at the end, it turned well.  I didn't know what brings us the luck.  But the supervisor, the man who wearing the blue uniform (let's called him the "Blue-Uniform-Man") asked some of us to move to another coach and the rest of us will move to the coach with bed (Second Class Sleeper Coach). HEAVEN dude...

Second Class Sleeper Coach.

Relaxing for a while

Satisfied passenger at last :p

But only few of us move to the couch with the bed because some of the Patience-Passengers soon will reach at their destination, Taiping.  As I remember that the Blue-Uniform-Man said that he gave the permission to let us switch the coach with bed as our "birthday present". hahaha. So funny. But I accepted it gratefully.

All I can said that this journey called "Twist the Fate".  It did have memorable experience. We safely arrived at Butterworth train station around 4.30pm.  Yeah, I smelled the breeze of Penang again. Syukur Alhamdulillah.

                                                                               To:
Ekspress Sinaran Utara and all the crews, thank you :)
Yes, the journey maybe rough and exhausted
but it still sweet to remember. I do love to travel with train again in future.

Mother's Day Tribute

Assalamualaikum,

Beyonce,
Angeline Jolie,
Sarah Jessica Parker,
Katie Holmes,
Ning Baizura,
Aishah Sinclair,
Sazzy Falak,
Zeti Akhtar Aziz,

Those names above may have different background, personalities, titles
but they do have ONE COMMON. They are MOTHERS.

As far as I known ta mother really playing great role and giving big inspiration in their
children lives. My point of view are whoever they are either single mother,
career woman, house maker and etc. they are mother.
They delivered their children into this world after 9 months carried
us in their belly. Some of them during their pregnancy may have
several problems but it doesn't matter.
They still carried us until the time for labor and process of delivering a baby comes.

For me, everyday is Mother's Day.
So there are no particular reason which mention that celebrating
Mother's Day will create bad example.
For me it is the occasion to honor the mother, one of the best creation
of Allah on Earth, to shower her with all love, care and warmth.

Advance Happy Mother's Day to all mothers and mother-to-be out there who supports us in hardship and a long road to taking care of us.
& Al-Fatihah to those mother who passed away.

To mama, Siti Mahpuzah binti Hamid,

Thank you mama.

A Priceless Moments with the Orang Asli Jeli, Kelantan.

Syukur alhamdulillah..
This semester, it was my chance and "rezeki" having another great experience
which was visiting the Orang Asli village at Jeli, Kelantan.
Oh,oh,oh,everything was not in plan exactly. The names was submitted in last
minute and there was no preparation at all.
I have to skip one of my class, IMR454 on that day because attending this event.

But there was no regrets at all.
The visit to the Orang Asli was the highlighted as a charity program
for us organized by our faculty.
My university, UiTM Machang, Kelantan together with
University Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) setting foot there.
The sight of their way of life was so humbling that it
filled me with guilt over the things.

I always complained and indulging in unnecessary expenditures and
luxury items and such.
(There's no cinema in Kelantan okay).

But here, deep in the forest, these people live an extremely simple life,
not worrying about material things that money can buy.
As matter of fact, the Orang Asli used to be scattered around the area.
But now, they have their own settlement and the main thing to remember
is to respect their culture and the way of living.
"Be sensitive, be aware - as one single smirk could be interpreted wrongly,".
I made a mental note to be on my best attitude.
Some of them not speak the same language
(in fact, they hardly even spoke at all making conservation with us)
and they seemed to be cut-off from the outside world. But don't let that fool you.

Mostly, all the children even though really shy but we try harder to break the ice between us.
I still remember once when several of us heading to their school,
we met the students (primary school) and their teachers.
At first, it was really awkward moment to made conservation.
But the encouragement made by their teacher, we tried our best.
From my assumption their school only can fit for 100 students.
It shows that, early education still playing crucial important.
Their school still got computer lab and library.
Yep, technology already around here.
Bravo to their teachers and staff here because their full commitment
towards educate their student here.
I really salute all of them, they gave really pleasant and charming smile welcoming us.

Besides that, we also managed to company the student during their recess.
Yeah, they did line up before heading to their canteen.
What a discipline.
There, each of the student will received free balanced meal.
What I'm shocked here was they have been provided plain water
for their beverages not sirap ok.
Everything seems normal here, the students really enjoyed and grateful with their meals.
Using their right-hand during eating and starting with doa,
they ate with full of joyous and chatting with their friends.

As times flies, around two o'clock in the evening, our bus arrived to fetch us.
It means that, it times for us to leave the village.
The Non-pollute,
The Harmony,
The mysterious,
All of us waving our hands saying goodbye to them.
Giving us thousand stories and priceless moments there.

Here are the moments that I can shared through out there:

InsyaAllah, early next month, our class will visit another Orang Asli Village
This time we will be heading to Cameron Highland, Pahang.
Another rezeki,
Another charity,
Another adventure we will gonna to face.
Hope everything will be ease and smooth.
Ameenn.....

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

One year pass by gracefully, Alhamdulillah I successfully completed the two semester.
Yeah, got 5 more semester left. But it's okay. Time fleeting really fast now.
The faith and the courage still soaring up high.
To Abah and Mama, both of you are my pillar of strength to face
all the upcoming semester ahead. InsyaAllah, I will fulfill the promises
which I always told you.

Well, here I would like to conclude the two semester which have its
own the Good, Bad and Ugly.
Haha, seems similar with this title of movie.
Those who had watch this it will know. Here, I let this picture spoke:

Hey don't ever you teasing my Clint Eastwood
Okay, it's just a symbolic which I would like to relate what happened for the past my two
semester.
I know past is the past. But apart from this it can remind us what to do and what should
we do not repeat the same mistake again.

Too complicated and confidential to confront all these.
For the past my two semester is like I'm playing with water colors to paint
my own painting.
Sometimes the color that I used is not appropriate with my desire
but I try my best to experiment with it so that it turn up became a very
beautiful painting.
But juggling with those responsibilities as a student really hard one, tough and
challenging one.

Here, I'm standing with my own feet to overcome all the odds and let's facing this semester bravely.
InsyaALLAH, hopefully everything that I plan this semester run smoothly. AMINN.

Yes, the road that I taken now,
Yeah, the sky is blue.

She has the heart of gold

Mama and I.

We're ain't perfect but she looking three of us as her most treasure in her life. Her sons and daughter.

(abang, adik and me). She care, sooth us with warm and grace. She always remind us:

Anakku adalah amanah ku,

Anakku adalah ibadatku,
Anakku adalah jihad ku,
Anakku adalah ujian ku.

Since we're young she opened our eyes clearly in the true sense of showing love, tendency and gratitude. Even though she's not in high education, but she still gave us the best shot to educate us with the best experience, memories of childhood and the perspective of Islam. Together with Abah, my dad really put a high commitment on us. We facing all the odds and other predicaments but it doesn't matter, we managed faced it and turn it everything very well. Here are we now.

Thanks for millions Mama. You are our first teacher. You read to us a lot since we're infant. She always bear in our mind the art of reading until now. You pursue us to adapt this habit if we have our own child. InsyaALLAH Mama.I'll do it the same too. I love when you flash back all the stories on how you raised us. We truly grateful having this moments.
You read to us.

Mama, I knew on certain time you cried quietly. But you didn't show it off to us. I knew you kept a diary which you poured all yours sadness and happiness inside it. I always teasing you, "Mama, may I read your diary?". I knew the first answer popping out from your mouth is "NO". hehe. As the matter of fact, you knew our feeling better than others.

The three of your children pursuing study and apart from you and abah now. But she keep positively. You said: "It's okay, berhijrah la mana-mana pun, ni kan bumi Allah". I'm touched with that words mama. Yes, you do have the heart of gold. You managed your life perfectly and keep it balanced as well. What about your cooking? You served us the best and healthy meal even you didn't have the qualification as Master chef whatsoever. I envy you mama. You turn all the raw materials into a splendid dishes. I admit it. Mom's cooking is the best.

But the most I like about you mama were how you giving us the moral support when all of us are down either in relationship, study nor life. Yeah, you simply turn the gap between us by trying to get know our world even it different from us. But the concept of healing is still the same. You are very great listener, still hug us and give your warm kisses to us.Mama thank you again.

If you read this entry, it only 25% of confession and gratitude to you. The rest let the two of us know. I'm truly sorry from the bottom of my heart if I did let you down, but on top of all I love you so much MAMA.

You rock our day :)

Start from today, cherished every moments with your mom. Give her a call, kisses, hug and put her name inside your prayer. The power of love and the bond that you had share with her is magical. To all the mother or mother-to-be out there, all of you are super-great. Allah gave you the kind of rezeki which not everyone have. Al-Fatihah to those who's mother pass away recently.

The Three Musketeers

If we refer the words "Musketeers", it will define as a soldier who uses a musket. Quite catchy huh? The truth is it does not relate with any kind of warrior but it refer to the person who I want to describe.hehe.

Well,as the result of our previous semester already came out, I would like to write this entry to my dearest group mates last semester. To Fana and Sarah.

From bottom of my heart, I really owed their dedication, supportive and brilliant ideas in the process of completing my 2nd semester in degree. Thanks a bunch girls. So, let's recall back what they had did which touched my heart.

Bismillahirahmanirahim,
As my gratitude of thankfulness towards them.
*Iqra'

After we had started semester 2, all IM225's student knew that we have to complete several final projects but lucky for us we only need to sit two papers for the exam.Horey? Not yet. Quite hectic and rushing that semester. While pushing ourselves as hard as we can to perform, present and try completing our either project for individual nor grouping. That's the challenge.

From the beginning, after we were divided into several group which all of us decided ourselves. Most of the project need us to have 3 persons each group. Okay, tough decision. But at the end, Fana and Sarah became my group mates. Not only for our final project but also other assignments.

The rough moments we faced such as lack of creative ideas, rushing for the deadline for submitting our proposal, sleepless and abandon our eating schedule. Everything need us to be quick as possible. Yeah, procrastination sometimes become our buddy.hehe.But we managed to overcome it. Right girls?

I would like to said that, semester 2 was really challenging. I remember once that Fana tweet: I do not look dugaan as dugaan, but prefer call it as a hikmah. Those moments and tiring schedule, will be less burden because of two my great group mates. Syukur to Allah. I learnt a lot of things from them. They really helped me. To be truth, I'm glad to be with them.

To Sarah and Fana,

I adore both of you,
You taught me new things,
which I didn't discover yet.
Your coolness covered my ego,
Your words do sooth my sorrowfulness,
Your sense of fashion, help a lot for my wardrobe.
Thank you for everything.
May ALLAH bless both of you.

From the left: Fana, Sarah and me.

We are what we are,
The three musketeers
